Who am I?

Hello! I’m a simple Godly man, devoted husband, proud father, honorable veteran, aspiring mariner, and motorsports enthusiast. This personal website has been with me since 1995, originally erected to chronicle my travels across the world. Today, the aim is to connect me with opportunity.

I’ve spent that last 30 years developing an expertise in reverse engineering across a broad landscape of industries, specializing in information technology. With my electronics beginnings, an automotive and marine passion, and career experiences I am uniquely equipped in challenging circumstances. My motivation to continually challenge myself leads to thriving where there are unknowns.

U.S. Navy Sailor

After graduating high school in 1993, I joined the United States Navy as an Advanced Electronics Technician, and served honorably until 1999 when I chose not to re-enlist. I was primarily stationed on a destroyer in Yokosuka, Japan and traveled all over the Pacific. I received the Navy Achievement Medal in 1998 for architecting and implementing the first computer network on a forward deployed combatant ship. With my information technology experience, I decided against re-enlistment to pursue a career in technology.

Automotive and Marine Passionate

From the thrill of the ride, to the pride of ownership. I enjoy machines with engines. I am passionate about saving great pieces from past times. I have rebuilt and restored several motorcycles, trucks and cars. I customize, modernize, and restore anything worthy of attention for our lifestyle, for my family and friends, and for others in need.

Business Leader

When I left the Navy in 1999 to pursue an IT career at Brooks Sports in Seattle, WA, I also founded French Creek Technology. In my consulting, I continue to serve clients across the nation with specialized technical and business advice and execution, while continuing to thrive in a variety of roles with some really great employers. One of my greatest accomplishments was being an early adopter of mobile responsive applications while in Education. After solutioning a campus wide, secured, self-service wireless network with enterprise identity policies for thousands of users, open to personal devices, the demand for mobile intuitive access to organization tooling and data became forefront. Against unpalatable budget constraints, diving into my reverse engineering aptitude, I learned the necessary development languages to deliver a responsive design portal with user based real-time access to otherwise walled data systems. It was a defining moment in the agility and momentum for the organization I was with.

USCG-MM Master Captain

In 2023, after weeks of classes, months of commitment and discipline, I was able to credit my U.S. Naval experiences toward a USCG-MM 100T Master Captains license. It is my current personal dream to captain a substantial vessel while continuing in my technology business capacities remotely.

I am what time, circumstance, history, have made of me, certainly, but I am also, much more than that. So are we all.

James Baldwin

History is who we are and why we are the way we are.

David McCullough

It is my dream that my future professional endeavor will find me here. One where I am deeply valued for my character and harnessing my broad abilities to grow collectively.
